The Sound of Science – Northern Public Radio

Check out two radio broadcasts that I did with WNIJ Sound of Science: one on hydraulic fracturing and the other on wastewater injection-induced earthquakes.

American Geophysical Union Congressional Visit Day 2016

IMG_6726_croppedIn April 2016, I had the privilege of representing Colorado at AGU’s CVD.  With three other scientists from Colorado and our awesome AGU Liaison, I headed to Capitol Hill to speak to Congressional Staffers about science funding and my research.  It was a great experience that I chronicled in one of AGU’s Blogs: The Bridge.  I also attended the AAAS Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering (CASE) Workshop for students in the days prior to AGU’s CVD.  The workshop taught me about the federal budget, science communication, and the intersection of science for policy and science policy.  It was a great week in Washington, DC.
